Rainbow Brite
<sub>Using available white light and water in either a liquid or a vapor form Mariko can create a rainbow.

1 - Mariko needs liquid water and sunlight to create a rainbow. The rainbow only lasts for one minute before disappearing.
2 - Mariko needs liquid water and indirect sunlight. The rainbow only lasts for three minutes before disappearing.
3 - Mariko needs water vapor and sunlight. The rainbow only lasts for five minutes before disappearing.
4 - Mariko needs water vapor and indirect sunlight. The rainbow only lasts for seven minutes before disappearing.

Shattered Glass
<sub>Mariko can create a sheet of rainbow with the strength of a sheet of glass.

6 - The glass is so unstable that the slightest touch from anyone but Mariko would shatter it.
7 - The glass can stand to be touched, but shatters under harder contact, such as being struck with an elbow.
8 - The glass can stand an elbow strike, but breaks under weapon-strike.

Rainbow Bridge
<sub>Improving on her Rainbow Brite and Shattered Glass abilities, Mariko can now create a temporary arched bridge made out of a rainbow.

11 - Mariko can make a narrow bridge ten feet long for a maximum of two minutes. Should the bridge come under attack, it will only last through two weapon-strikes.
12 - The bridge can now be fifteen feet long for up to five minutes. It can only last three weapon-strikes.
13 - The bridge can now be twenty feet long for up to seven minutes. It can only last four weapon-strikes. It can now hold an extra person.
14 - The bridge can now be twenty-five feet long for up to ten minutes. It can only last five weapon-strikes. It can now hold an extra two people.

Personality:
_{Mariko is quiet like her father, but she has become more gregarious since joining the Fulminata. She is kind and mothering of those in her Cohort, but often questions her own decisions and is hesitant to speak her mind on important things that could affect others. She is quick to put others before herself. Mariko is most definitely not the type of person to act before thinking. She infact thinks too much before acting.}

History:
Mariko grew up with her father, Akito, and her grandparents, Kazuaki and Yuuko, in San Francisco. Her father took over the family business of gardening, specifically doing Japanese-style gardens. He specialized in sculptures and took a fancy to making water fountains and natural-seeming mini-waterfalls. One day, a customer came to the small shop and they got to talking. They hit it off, but it inevitably came to an end... and began again with a baby girl left on his doorstep.

Mariko had a happy childhood with his adoring grandparents who watched over her while her father was busy at the shop or working on customers’ gardens. She was praised in school for her artistic abilities, especially when it came to molding clay, courtesy of her father. However, unlike most of the other asian children at her school, due to her dyslexia and ADD, her grades were always lacking.

Her grandparents blamed her strange mother for Mariko’s difficulty in school. Akito, however, defended Mariko’s mother... and so Mariko also defended the woman she’d never met.

But then the wolves came. They couldn’t be shooed away and they took a particular interest in Mariko no matter how much her grandparents tried to keep her away from them. The wolves lingered for so long that they started to scare away customers. Akito looked at them with a knowledge that unsettled his daughter. That night, Akito pulled his daughter aside. He told her about her mother and her birth and that the wolves had come just as her mother had told Akito they would and why they had come. The next morning, Mariko set off with the wolves.

She arrived at Camp Jupiter at the age of 12. Although smaller and physically weaker than her peers, Mariko discovered an ability to create rainbows as well as to turn them into small bridges. She was able to utilize these in battles, later earning her a position as Centurion.
