Personality:
Roxanne is chipper, curious and sometimes a bit of a firecracker. She’s clever for an 11 year old and can’t stand when adults patronize her just because of her age. Although she can be sweet and polite like her grandmother raised her to be, she has a really foul temper and once her impression of you turns sour it’s hard, if not impossible, for her to get past it. She can be stubborn and tends to want to do things herself rather than trust someone to do it for her up to her standards.

History:
Roxanne grew up with her parents and little sister in a small village not far from Bath, Britain. When you grow up in such a small village, everyone knows everyone else. Her parents owned a small tea shop in the middle of the village that, Roxanne will proudly inform you, makes the best pastries in the whole village. Roxanne’s grandparents lived down the road from them and Roxanne grew very close to her grandparents so that they were more of a second set of parents to her and her little sister Leila.

Roxanne’s grandmother used to be the headmistress for a private all-girls academy and had, growing up, focused on proper etiquette. As a result, she taught her granddaughters from as early as they could crawl, proper etiquette befitting a young lady of the McHugh clan. Having shown to be rather skillful with her hands from a young age, Roxanne began to learn how to sew, crochet and knit from her grandmother after school. In fact, the doilies used at Roxanne’s parents’ tea shop were made by Roxanne’s grandmother.

Although active in the playground, Roxanne always insisted on wearing dresses and skirts no matter what activity she was doing. Running and playing What Time is it, Mr. Wolf? A dress, of course!

The first time her Nova manifested, Roxanne was playing with her Barbie dolls while taking a bubble bath. At first she’d thought she’d been in the water for too long because it had started to feel cold, but before she knew it all the bath water had boiled away and her poor Barbies had melted in her hands!

Word spread through her village that she was one of those gifted children with an ability. It would’ve been fine if her ability wasn’t so potentially volatile. While playing tag with her classmates during recess, her ability accidentally burnt the child she’d touched and she couldn’t control it. The people of her village began to look at her differently and the normally friendly village became wary of getting too close to the little girl who could burn you with a touch. Suffice to say that the invitation to go to the Space Station was welcome and Roxanne was eager to leave.

- She brought one doll with her to the space station: a teddy bear wearing a shirt, vest and trousers that her grandmother made for it. The teddy bear’s name is Sandford.
