So, after having to wait 5 days longer than I should have, Comcast finally turned on my internet. My internet was supposed to have been enabled by the day I moved in (the 14th), but when I called the next day it was to find out that my order had just been processed and that they wouldn't be coming out until the 19th. Very upsetting! Fortunately, they've set it up and I can finally activate my wifi and stop using up my data!
Funny thing: I signed onto dA to find I had over 400 messages. @_@ It's going to be fun checking all of them. hah.
As an update, I'm fully settled into my new place and have slowly begun to get adjusted to working again. It's really reassuring to know that I have a job and that I'm going to be paid for it.
To keep things short: I live a 10 to 15 minute drive from the main office in Nashville, but I was hired to work at the office about a 50 minute drive from the main office. Unfortunately, the farther office doesn't have space, so my official desk is in Nashville. My first two days were spent in Nashville getting acquainted with the company and getting everything set up with HR (I still have one more thing to do for them). Today, I drove up to the farther office and got more acquainted with what exactly I'm going to be doing.
For now, it appears my job will be mostly data entry until I can pick up more tasks to do. I'm really glad that my new work is really considerate and actively going to train me to do more. If I do well, maybe I'll even get a raise!
